Felicity Heaton | 20 Questions: INFLAMED BY AN INCUBUS
Author Guest / April 7, 2022

1–What is the title of your latest release? INFLAMED BY AN INCUBUS, which is book 19 in my fated mates paranormal romance series, Eternal Mates. 2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? Fated to be together. Cursed to be apart. Swept up in a tempest of danger and with a dark threat on the rise, can Fenix find the one who cursed them before fate steals his mate from him this time? Or will the soul-searing passion that blazes between them burn everything to ashes again to restart the cycle? 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? The hero, Fenix, was introduced in previous books so we already knew where he lived, but the story itself takes place in several locations: Scotland, London, and other places in England, plus some time in Hell, America and Norway. It’s quite the jet-set book. The Eternal Mates series is mostly set in the UK and Europe, with plenty of action in Hell too! I love writing about all the paranormal species that call Hell their home. 4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life? Absolutely. And not just because it might get me closer to…

Author Guest / April 7, 2022

1–What is the title of your latest release? A DEEPER BLUE, book 2 of the 3 Colors Trilogy (but it does read well as a stand-alone) 2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? Witch Azure Lucas and Rafe DeSandre (alpha-hole, biker, and exiled lone wolf) hit the road and face down a warlock motorcycle game in adventure that puts them on a collision course with destiny. 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? In book 1, A Little Red, I had already established that Rafe’s pack was from Oregon and since I live in Washington, it wasn’t a stretch to put them on a road trip to the Pacific Northwest. 4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life? Oh, absolutely!  Given that Azure has the second sight and can see the future, she might be the most annoying friend ever since her “I told you so” would be literal. But on the other hand, she’s a ride or die kind of friend who would always show up for her friends.  And of course, if we could go to the nearest casino, that gift might come in handy. 5–What are three words that…

c h a p  t e r 1     L ON D ON , 1 9 2 5   A shadow, looking very much like that of a boy, ghosted into the train’s control cab through the front window. It came to a stop in front of Michael, which was strange, given how fast the train was moving. He stared at it for several seconds before looking up. There didn’t seem to be anything that could cast such an odd shade, but after a few moments, he spotted a small cloud floating in front of the full moon. That had to be responsible. In fact, if he looked at the shadow, he decided that it didn’t really look like a boy’s at all—even when it seemed to wave at him. So he ignored it, telling himself it was only a trick of the light and a side effect of a long day. After a few seconds, the shadow’s shoulders slumped, and it slipped out through the same window it had entered from—or, rather, the shadow did what shadows do when they’re no longer visible. It certainly didn’t shrug. Michael glanced back at the sky and found that the…
