LONE STAR CHRISTMAS, out October 16th: Jackie Bergmann is determined to complete her late mother’s twenty-year-old mission of restoring the town’s historic buildings—but she needs permission from the property owner, her ex Max Delgado, who agrees to give her access, but he has one request: that she help him care for his orphaned brothers. If you could meet one of your characters in real life, who would you choose and what would you do? Adrian De La Cruz from TEXAS DADDY. He’s a former bull rider, and his girl is an adventure guide, so we would hit the white water rapids in the Grand Canyon then return to the rim by helicopter to watch the sunset as we eat dinner. And while we’re at it, let’s throw in a full body massage. What gets your creative juices flowing when you’re brainstorming a…

Author Guest , Readers & 'ritas / August 19, 2018

As part of our countdown to Readers & ‘ritas 2018, our Meet the Author interviews help you get to know the authors joining us in Texas on November 9-11. Read on to get acquainted with Guest of Honor and USA Today bestselling author Nancy Naigle, and purchase your ticket to meet her in person at Readers & ‘ritas! Pitch us your newest book in one sentence. Two people in a small coastal town meet through a Dear Santa letter and begin a pen pal relationship before they realize they are business rivals. In short, it’s You’ve Got Mail meets Santa Claus Is Coming to Town in a beach town. DEAR SANTA releases on October 16 in trade paperback, digital, and audio. If you could meet one of your characters in real life, who would you choose and what would you do? That’s easy: Cody Tuggle from OUT OF FOCUS and the follow-up novel PECAN PIE AND DEADLY LIES. He is kind, talented, generous, and good-looking to boot. I’d invite him to a cookout at my house with my closest friends, and ask him to play acoustic guitar as we all sing along for a relaxing evening under the stars. Oh…

Kathy Lyons | Readers & ‘ritas Author Interview
Readers & 'ritas / August 19, 2018

As part of our countdown to Readers & ‘ritas 2018, our Meet the Author interviews help you get to know the authors joining us in Texas on November 9-11. Read on to get acquainted with USA Today bestselling author Kathy Lyons, and purchase your ticket to meet her in person at Readers & ‘ritas! Pitch us your newest book in one sentence. In the middle of proposing to the woman of his dreams, a paraplegic hero shifts into a grizzly bear. One that has full use of his legs. OMG! If you could meet one of your characters in real life, who would you choose and what would you do? The heroine of ALPHA UNLEASHED is a feisty, take-no-prisoners kind of woman. She’s gone toe to toe with a grizzly bear (shifter) and stood strong. She’s also soft when she needs to be, though the balancing act is tough. Alyssa is the woman I want to be, so I’d love to hang out and take pointers from her. What gets your creative juices flowing when you’re brainstorming a new story? Talking to best friend Cindy Dees. She always gets me thinking in the weirdest possible directions. Also, um, I might…

Allison B. Collins | Readers & ‘ritas Author Interview
Author Guest , Readers & 'ritas / August 19, 2018

As part of our countdown to Readers & ‘ritas 2018, our Meet the Author interviews help you get to know the authors joining us in Texas on November 9-11. Read on to get acquainted with Allison B. Collins, and purchase your ticket to meet her in person at Readers & ‘ritas! Pitch us your newest book in one sentence. In FALLING FOR THE REBEL COWBOY, Wyatt Sullivan falls big time for New York heiress Francine Wentworth and her adorable four-year-old son, and finds that a family might just be possible after all. If you could meet one of your characters in real life, who would you choose and what would you do? Hunter Sullivan, from my Cowboys to Grooms series. He has been the most fun to write. He’s a charmer, a jokester, and loves his family. Oh, and the fact that he looks just like Jensen Ackles (Dean on Supernatural!) doesn’t hurt. Hunter loves pie, so I’d bake him his favorite, cherry pie, then just sit and talk with him under the Montana stars. What gets your creative juices flowing when you’re brainstorming a new story? The possibilities, getting to try out the best way to torture my characters…and then…

Kathy Lyons | GUESS WHAT I’M DOING
Author Guest / September 5, 2017

Well everyone, I’m doing something new this week. I’m in Mexico (in August) sweating because it’s about 90% humidity when it isn’t raining. My daughter and I are doing a vegan/raw cleanse at a yoga retreat. Yeah. So anyone ever hear me talk about yoga? No? That’s because I haven’t done it in years, but I am now! Twice a day! So guess what I’m learning while here… Vegan food can be fabulous! Especially when it’s lots of fresh mango and avocado Surrender. As in my body surrendered into poses I didn’t think I could make. And then my shoulder surrendered when I tried a chaturanga and landed face first into my yoga mat. Oops. I can get used to feeling sweaty and sticky, especially when I’m exhausted from yoga and zenning out while watching the ocean waves. Everything’s good when reading a great book. Answer: All of the above! Yup, the food here is great. My shoulder did indeed give up the ghost on day 5. No more yoga for me. But that just means I have more time to read and watch the waves! And well, everyone’s sweaty here, so it’s all good!  BTW, I missed the turtle…
