Kathy Lyons | Rejection Therapy

August 16, 2018

Ever hear of Rejection Therapy? Guess what it is:

  1. You eat lots of weird foods to find out what your body rejects most violently.
  2. You say “no” to at least one person a day.
  3. You go through your own closet and “reject” clothing by throwing it out. At least 28 pieces a day. Once there’s nothing left in your closet, you start on your things. It’s a quick way to a minimalist lifestyle.
  4. You do something daily where you know you’ll get turned down. Eventually getting told “no” won’t scare you, and you can start living life boldly.

Answer: D – It is indeed a way to make yourself casual with being told “no.” The whole closet thing is a different technique where you discard 28 things a day for 10 days. It’s actually quite liberating, but that’s not where the idea for this book came from.

In Sliding Home by Kathy Lyons—August 13, 2018 Brazen release—my good girl heroine is putting herself through rejection therapy as a way to get bolder. She realized she’s become too timid in her life and this is her way of forcing herself to embrace life. Of course, she expects to get rejected by celebrity short stop Jake, but isn’t and the sexy hilarity that ensues will make you laugh and swoon because they really do have to work hard to get to their happily ever after.

And now…are you ready for the cover, Fresh Fiction review, and back cover copy? Please say yes! Here they are! And don’t forget to leave a comment below. One lucky commenter will win a signed print copy of Hitting It, the first book in the series. Plus a limited edition Locker Room Dairies café mug!

Cheeky and clever, Sliding Home is a fun, fast-paced romance you won’t want to miss!” – Jessica Lemmon, bestselling author of the Bad Boy Billionaires series

Shy and reserved, good girl Ellie McDonald is determined to break out of her shell–and her relationship rut. First order of business, woman up and finally ask her longtime secret crush, Jake Armstrong on an old-fashioned date. She’s not at all his type–which is great. Once Jake turns her down she can finally move on. Except he says yes

MVP short-stop Jake Armstrong has tried to keep his bad boy nature under wraps. But there’s nothing he likes more than tempting sweet Ellie to the dark side. No one need know.

But when the hotel catches fire and their rescue–while nearly naked–is caught on camera, the two have a PR problem. Jake’s solution is a fake relationship, just for the season. Only for Ellie, there’s nothing fake about it…
