2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?
Thea is at her sister’s over-the-top reality TV wedding and up until now when her sister nonchalantly mentioned that she never even wanted Thea at the wedding—the producers insisted—ouch doesn’t fully express how much it hurts.So for the first time Thea don’t think. She just does. And as a shy paleontologist who plans everything, she probably should have taken a moment. Instead, she asks the best man, who her sister absolutely loathes and who can’t stand her right back, if he’s up for a little naked revenge.
3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place?
I came across a place called Coulter’s Hell. There is no way I could not use that in a book.
4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?
Absolutely! She’s smart, funny and a great friend.
5–What are three words that describe your hero?
Snarly cinnamon roll
6–What’s something you learned while writing this book?
All sorts of dinosaur facts. So many!
7–Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?
I usually tweak as I go.
8–What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
Does deep-fried Oreos count?
9–Describe your writing space/office!
A total disaster right now. I just finished up a book, so it is a mess in here right now.
10–Who is an author you admire?
I’m reading Sarina Bowen’s Good As Gold right now and she is AMAZING.
11–Is there a book that changed your life?
I’m pretty sure most of them have. I love how books give you the chance to see the world from someone else’s perspective.
12–Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)
Well, it was an email and I’m pretty sure there was a bunch of happy squeals.
13–What’s your favorite genre to read?
Romance for sure.
14–What’s your favorite movie?
I can’t name a favorite, but I really loved Glass Onion and Everything Everywhere All At Once.
15–What is your favorite season?
Summer
16–How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
If I’m lucky, by spending the day reading.
17–What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?
Succession was sooooooo good.
18–What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
Mexican – a good enchilada can fix make any day better.
19–What do you do when you have free time?
I got a little too inspired by TikTok DIYers and got a bunch of tools, so I love building shelves for closets and the pantry.
20–What can readers expect from you next?
Walk of Shame is coming next and OMG it’s so fun. Plus, it’s a return to the Ice Knights and I have missed those hockey players sooooo much!
