That the ten hunters and ten hunted are all vying to be the victor at the end makes them just as dangerous to each other. Luckily, sex and orgasms isn’t just stress relief. It gives them a much greater chance of winning the Games.   About: When I’m not distracted by my many foster fail cats, you’ll find me putting off housework as I immerse myself in my writing worlds. I love creating mayhem for my characters and messing with their heads, and then finally giving them the happily ever after they deserve. That it doesn’t always happen in the real world makes fictional worlds a much nicer…

For fans of Station Eleven and Migrations. 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? Because The Last Beekeeper is set in the same location, but at two different time periods, under very different circumstances, I needed a setting that would feel familiar, but show the passage of time. I wanted my characters to be in close proximity to nature. And I wanted a place that felt just on the edge of being dangerous. I chose a farm that is full of promise, life, and love in one timeline – and danger tinged with hope in the second timeline. The woods surrounding the farm, however, don’t change much, providing a touchstone for my main character Sasha. 4–Would you hang out with your protagonist in real life? Absolutely! I love Sasha’s mix of self-doubt and radical…

It’s our great pleasure to present Jesse Q. Despite living alone, Vera is not needy, oh no. She likes nothing more than sipping on a good cup of Wulong and doing some healthy detective work on the Internet about what her Gen-Z son is up to. Then one morning, Vera trudges downstairs to find a curious thing—a dead man in the middle of her tea shop. In his outstretched hand, a flash drive. Vera doesn’t know what comes over her, but after calling the cops like any good citizen would, she sort of . . . swipes the flash drive from the body and tucks it safely into the pocket of her apron. Why? Because Vera is sure she would do a better job than the…

1–What is the title of your latest release? RED LONDON 2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? A CIA officer is tasked with flipping the British wife of a Russian oligarch in order to prevent the fall of the current world order. 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? I’d been fascinated with the expansion of Russian oligarchs into London ever it began in 1994, when two things happened. First, the UK Prime Minister announced a new class of for foreigners willing to invest 750,000 pounds into the economy. Secondly, the Soviet Union was imploding, creating a new class of millionaire, many with dubious backgrounds. The new UK visa plan was designed to attract the oligarchs’ money but put off worrying what affect this might have on the country down the road. Fast forward to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, and the UK is finally forced to deal with the oligarchs—only by this time, they’re well entrenched in the country. 4–Would you hang out with your protagonist in real life? As a former CIA officer, I have hung out with women like Lyndsey Duncan: sincere in their willingness to sacrifice themselves for…
