Eunice Amnell | 20 Questions: THE PACK OUTCAST

December 8, 2022

1–What is the title of your latest release?

THE PACK OUTCAST

2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?

The Pack Outcast is a reverse harem paranormal romance book that takes you on a young girl’s journey from pack outcast to finding people whom she can always trust to be on her side. It’s the third book in my interconnected standalone series called The Fae Omegas Series. It’s a great read if you like strong heroines that can be a tad bit overpowered, mate bond relationships, and a rich variety of reverse harem males from older instructor alpha males who will always take the heroine’s side to boy-next-door best friend mates.

3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place?

The book starts in Amelia’s pack but the main location is a supernatural academy—Camdine Academy—for educating young adults belonging to the four main supernatural factions: Werewolves, Vampires, Fae, and Mages. I always knew that for my character to escape the corruption that usually brews in packs, she would need a place to escape to. She was too young to go train in a top organization like the Supernatural Council, so the best place for her to prove herself and her innocence had to be a supernatural academy like Camdine Academy.

4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?

Totally, I think she would be fun to hang around if we weren’t hanging out together alone. She’s an introvert like me, which means we’re awkward with strangers. If we were to hang out alone, we would end up just coexisting in one space like the other person wasn’t there. However, if we were hanging out with someone like Aisling, we would have so much fun.

5–What are three words that describe your hero?

There are three heroes for my heroine, so I’ll describe them in three words.

Hero one – Keane, I’d describe him as knowledgeable, reliable, and the leader.

Hero two – Aisling, I’d describe as fun, witty, and straightforward.

Hero three – Reece, I’d describe as strong, intense, and grumpy.

6–What’s something you learned while writing this book?

It was a struggle trying to write a character that was both strong yet vulnerable at the same time, which was what I was aiming for with Amelia. I wanted her to not care so much about what people thought about her, yet I wanted to show how her soiled reputation still affected her in many ways.

7–Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?

I wait until I’m done writing before editing.

8–What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?

Chocolate Chip Cookies are my all-time favorite.

9–Describe your writing space/office!

A simple yet messy desk covered with unevenly cut pieces of paper, stacks of notebooks and a box of stationeries, positioned in front of a window so I can easily spy out the window at the happenings in the neighborhood.

10–Who is an author you admire?

Jane Washington. I can’t get over her Seraph Black Series. There are other authors, of course, but the Seraph Black series left a very strong impression on me. I’ve read all the books in the series more than five times now.

11–Is there a book that changed your life?

I can’t point out any particular book right now because all the books I read give me a new perspective, whether I like or dislike them.

12–Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)

I’ve been writing since I was a teenager, but I only started taking writing seriously when I created my Eunice Amnell account on Wattpad. When I wrote “Who Wants a Blind Mate?” and “The Pack Slut” using that profile (because I had many others), I was in college or about to get into college and was hoping to become a published author. But I gave up my dreams for conventional and realistic ones only to discover this year that “Who Wants a Blind Mate?” had somehow garnered 2.8 million reads on Wattpad.

I was lucky, because, at that moment, I’d paid all my debts, had enough savings to hold me up for the rest of the year and I had just decided to take a break from my freelance work. So I thought about it and simply decided to pursue my dreams of being an Author more seriously and see where it would lead me.

13–What’s your favorite genre to read?

Paranormal Romance.

14–What’s your favorite movie?

Can I mention a TV show? I really like Motherland Fort Salem. I loved season 1 and 2, and I can’t stop appreciating the ingenuity that went into creating that TV show.

15–What is your favorite season?

Autumn. I don’t like Winter and I don’t like how hot Summer can get either. So the coolness of Autumn is just perfect.

16–How do you like to celebrate your birthday?

With food. Not cake because my mum was a baker for a while, and it’s just one of those things I got tired of. But I like to enjoy my favorite meals and a fun day of self-care (Reading all day long without feeling guilty).

17–What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?

Well, I enjoyed the Netflix TV show The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself. I had things I didn’t like, but I watched the first season in one sitting so it was pretty enjoyable.

18–What’s your favorite type of cuisine?

Anything with rice or chicken.

19–What do you do when you have free time?

I’m always reading, and it’s actually become somewhat of an addiction because once I find a book I like, it’s hard to pull my attention away from it. I have tried to quit, but I just can’t go without reading a book for longer than a week or I get very depressed and unhappy.

20–What can readers expect from you next?

I’m working on finishing the Fae Omegas Series early next year with the last two books in the Fae Omegas Series: “Who Wants a Broken Mate?” and “The First Fae Omega” and then I hope to rewrite and publish a dragon fantasy romance series I started writing in 2021.

THE PACK OUTCAST by Eunice Amnell

The Fae Omegas #3

The Pack Outcast

After my parents’ deaths, I lost everything: my reputation, my home, and my bright future.

I was framed, treated with contempt, and rejected by my mate. Now, I’m ready to fight back.

Over my dead body will they steal my only chance to attend Camdine Academy and prove my innocence.

Amelia Byrne has been to hell and back in the Mcnarty pack.

She has been accused of heinous things and ostracized by her pack members.

The only chance she has to prove her innocence and get her life back on track is by attending Camdine Academy. There, her goal is to clear out the negative points on her Supernatural Council file, get into any of the big three supernatural organizations, and get back at those who plotted against her.

But Amelia’s Alpha will do whatever it takes to prevent her from proving her innocence so she doesn’t reveal the pack’s secrets.

So Amelia has to race against her fears, her terrible reputation, and the setup that might just ruin her life, to prove her innocence.

And what’s this business about being a Fae Omega and having multiple mates? Amelia doesn’t want it. She wants what her parents had. A stable family, one mate, and a few kids.

As if things weren’t bad enough, a series of unfortunate events reveal that Camdine Academy is not as safe as it seems.

‘The Pack Outcast’ is the third book in the interconnected rejected mates standalone series: The Fae Omegas Series. Amelia’s story is a slow-burn reverse harem/why choose ya paranormal romance. Get ready for unexpected twists, turns, and danger.
