My latest, SAVAGE CROWNS, concludes my Savage Rebellion Trilogy about three women trapped in very different parts of a seemingly utopian society who each uncover, and then attempt to unravel, its dark and oppressive underbelly. Expect bloody battles, satire, political intrigue, and enemies to friends to lovers. There is no magic, but there is medieval-style super science. Feasting scenes are mercilessly mocked.

Like the mighty Highlander, I have lived many secret lives. Unlike the mighty Highlander, my accent is consistent and I have never decapitated anyone with a sword, probably. I have been a professional wrestler. I have been a close combat and self-defense instructor. I have taught chi kung to senior citizens at retirement homes. Through it all I have been a dedicated storyteller who just wants to write things that make people feel the way my favorite stories make me feel.
What I’m looking for in my ideal reader match:
Someone who wants to go on a fiction journey that spans years and continents and follows characters who end up a million miles from where they began in life and as people. Someone who doesn’t mind a little blood and a lot of humor, and also a lot of blood. Someone who wants to laugh and cry in equal measure. Someone who wants to binge-read a big, honking epic fantasy trilogy because, as previously stated, SAVAGE CROWNS is wrapping up my first.
What to expect if we’re compatible:
- Found families filled with very flawed people trying their best.
- Reasonable to flimsy excuses for knife fights.
- An acknowledgment that any good fictional world will show the kind of diversity the real world enjoys, including people of vastly different race, cultural background, sexuality, physical ability, and gender identity.
- I’ll always try to surprise you, in a good way, even if I’m not quite smart enough to get the mental jump on you.
