Tiffany doesn’t want love or resonance because she’s traumatized. Salukh wants to be exactly what she needs.
3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place?
It seemed the logical next step after book 4 (Harlow’s book).
4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?
Yes!
5–What are three words that describe your hero?
Patient. Understanding. Brawny.
6–What’s something you learned while writing this book?
That it’s hard to be sexy when you have a pet colt staring at you.
7–Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?
I’m a little bit of both. I draft, but I also go back and add in bits here and there as I draft. Never full scenes, just bits of conversation or worldbuilding. So I’m more of a pepperer I guess?
8–What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
Lately it’s macarons! When they’re done right, they’re delicious. When they’re too dry, they make me sad.
9–Describe your writing space/office!
Right now, it is an absolute mess with promo materials for an upcoming convention, two upcoming print book releases, and kitten toys all over the floor.
10–Who is an author you admire?
My go-to answer is Kati Wilde, just because I love the way her brain works.
11–Is there a book that changed your life?
Maybe Stephen King’s ON WRITING?
12–Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)
This is a weird one because TikTok blew my book up. It was after I saw a million TikToks about how bookstores wouldn’t purchase self-published books to carry that I floated the idea with my agent about a trad publisher. We approached Berkley and the rest is history!
13–What’s your favorite genre to read?
Scifi romance, of course.
14–What’s your favorite movie?
Jurassic Park!
15–What is your favorite season?
Fall.
16–How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
I go to Starbucks and tip them a stupid amount.. I’m having a good day and so I always want to pass it forward.
17–What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?
I was just telling my mother (who loves to read the same stuff I do) that Lydia Hope’s new book in the Rix series is out. It’s called Sky Song.
18–What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
Tex Mex. I am the most basic of bitches.
19–What do you do when you have free time?
Play farming sims.
