Jennifer Haymore | When a High-minded Heiress Clashes with the Dastardly Duke Next Door
Author Guest / February 21, 2024

What is the title of your latest release? HOW NOT TO HATE A DUKE   What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? An engaging and playful romance about what happens when a high-minded heiress clashes with the dastardly duke next door.   How did you decide where your book was going to take place? The setting of the book is a house party in the English Countryside, and I decided to set it in the beautiful Peak District, where the partygoers could do some hunting, fishing, lawn games, and—something that doesn’t always happen at house parties—cave exploring!   Would you hang out with your heroine in real life? Yes. She’s smart, funny, ahead of her time, and she admits to her mistakes.   What are three words that describe your hero? Handsome, Powerful, and Confident   What’s something you learned while writing this book? I learned everything about the cave called The Devil’s Arse! I read books, watched videos, and even visited the cave and took a tour deep into it last summer.   Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done? I edit lightly as I draft, but I do the majority of…

Jennifer Haymore | A Lady Devises a Plot for Her Own Ruination
Author Guest / December 1, 2023

What is the title of your latest release? A LADY’S RULES FOR RUIN   What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? A Lady’s Rules for Ruin is about a Regency lady who has zero interest in getting married, even though her family (and society) keeps pressuring her to do just that. So she comes up with a great solution to her dilemma: she devises a plot for her own ruination!   How did you decide where your book was going to take place? Most of my books take place in London, at least partially, because that was “the center of the world” in the Regency period. But a lot of my books also contain a least a little bit of traveling: In this one, the characters journey north to the beautiful Lake District of England.   Would you hang out with your heroine in real life? Of course! Although I’m not sure if she’d like hanging out with me! We’d definitely find common ground in our love of books, though!   What are three words that describe your hero? Hot, honorable, and head-over-heels   What’s something you learned while writing this book? I learned that modern readers will see things…

Jennifer Haymore | A Beast in Society’s Circles
Author Guest / May 9, 2023

1–What is the title of your latest release? EARL RUSH IN   2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?  The Earl of Trevelyan has a reputation for being a beast in society’s circles, but nothing – nothing – will stop him from rescuing Charlotte from her disastrous engagement. He promised his best friend that he would look after her. Of course, the earl can only protect her from the blackguard who’s trying to marry her. Protecting her from himself is quite another matter…   3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place?  That’s easy! Most of my books are Regency Romances, so they take place in England. This one is set in London and in a little inn just outside of London.   4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?  Yes – I wish she’d teach me how to be friendlier and more of an extrovert!   5–What are three words that describe your hero? Gruff, grumpy, piratical.   6–What’s something you learned while writing this book?  I learned about parlor games people in Regency England played in their homes at night. Some of them were pretty silly, lol…   7–Do you…
