Celia Phoenix | 20 Questions: DEMON’S OBSESSION

October 20, 2022

1–What is the title of your latest release?

DEMON’S OBSESSION

2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?

What would you do if you found out you are Lucifer’s fated mate?

3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place?

I love demon romances, but I felt that I couldn’t write a Lucifer book because I didn’t have any story to tell. And then one night I had a dream about a demon with large horns walking through a forest getting bigger and being watched by a woman who loved him. When I woke up all the other pieces fell into place. I also watched the new Hocus Pocus the night before, so I was like Salem! Yes!

4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?

Yes. I never write a heroine I don’t like, and I usually give them some of my traits. Sophia has lost her Dad like I have and she’s a great best friend. We could definitely hang out.

5–What are three words that describe your hero?

Emperor, god, villain.

6–What’s something you learned while writing this book?

I learned to stop waiting for a week to my deadline to start writing! Arrgh! Never again!

7–Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?

I start editing every four or five chapters. It helps when I’m stuck and don’t know how to move forward. New ideas come up when I’m reading what I’ve written previously.

8–What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?

White chocolate!

9–Describe your writing space/office!

I write in bed, early in the morning before work or my local library. I’ve also written in my car and in the living room when I get a day off. I’m not precious about where I write but I try to keep my phone out of sight for as long as I can.

10–Who is an author you admire?

Renee Rose. She just has so many lovely Sci-fi Romance and PNR books. I love that she is so prolific. I also love LJ Shen’s enemies-to-lovers romances. I have stayed up many nights reading those!!!

11–Is there a book that changed your life?

Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who. “A person’s a person no matter how small”. Words I live by.

12–Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)

I’m self-published so I gave myself the call. Ha-ha. I had just watched 365 days on Netflix and that spiraled into reading about a hundred romance novels and one day when I spent hours looking for a book to read, I was like, why don’t I just write the kind of romance novel I would like to read. I’ve been having fun doing that ever since,

13–What’s your favorite genre to read?

Sci-fi romance. I like weird dominant alien creatures with spaceships and fancy weapons. For me it’s Star Trek with sexiness. I really love sci-fi.

14–What’s your favorite movie?

This is very tough. It’s a tie between Avenger’s Endgame and Luc Besson’s The Big Blue. I like films with tortured souls.

15–What is your favorite season?

Spring. I like the fact that the darkness and cold of winter gives way to the warm beauty and promise of spring.

16–How do you like to celebrate your birthday?

Nice quiet dinner with my family. I don’t like the attention of a birthday party.

17–What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?

The Sandman on Netflix. It’s just brilliant. It starts slow but the pay-off is so worth it in the end.

18–What’s your favorite type of cuisine?

Oriental and Indian. Anything with lots of spice!

19–What do you do when you have free time?

Binge-watch TV shows. I love anything with a superhero/superpowers in it, even if it has bad reviews.

20–What can readers expect from you next?

Sci-fi romance, definitely and a few more books in the demon billionaire shifter universe.

DEMON’S OBSESSION by Celia Phoenix

Billionaire Demon Shifter #3

Demon's Obsession

Lucifer. King of Demons. Absolute monarch of the inferno. Emperor of Hell and tormenter of my soul.

What do you do when the devil claims you as his own? Run as fast you can….. and hope he catches you.

Sophia

They call me bad luck Sophie. Bobby almost died of anaphylactic shock the day he tried to kiss me and Obi broke out in hives when we tried to make out. To be a cursed woman in Salem is probably the cliché of the century but here I am, twenty-two and a virgin because no boy in town will touch me with a wooden pole. I find out it’s because Lucifer marked me for himself and placed a curse on me so I will remain unspoiled. Now that he’s here to claim his prize, I want nothing to do with this king of demons and his deliciously hard body. Can I fight off his obsession until he lets me go, or will I give in and let him claim me for his own?

Lucifer

A girl once showed me a sliver of kindness and in a fit of stupidity, I bound her to myself. Now that I am banished from my realm. I need her light to get back through. I have sworn off women and relationships, I don’t need her reminding me of things I once felt. I have lost many loves and I will NEVER put myself through that again. But lust, that I can serve, every single day of the week. If Sophia thinks she can resist me, she has another thing coming.

Demon’s Obsession is a standalone, steamy, urban, fated mates, paranormal shifter, 22k word novella with a guaranteed HEA, no cheating and no cliffhangers.
