This book captured the spirit and turmoil of Cuba during a major transition of power. Beyond the history, the characters are relatable and easy to like, and you want to see them succeed. Cleeton’s writing style is gorgeous, making for an easy yet captivating read.
I loved gaining more knowledge about Korea, as well as seeing how strongly history affects modern day.
A complex, multi-layered tale. It was based on actual history during WWII and kept me captivated.
Hazel Gaynor juxtaposes an adult’s self-realization journey with an imaginative and bright young girl’s tale of fairies, creating a magical tale that is practically impossible to put down.
I loved the marriage portrayal and life that Eliza and Alexander Hamilton shared. I also loved the history!
One to read, and re-read again. A vivid depiction of war, Spanish Flu, and hope… I loved it!
