Irene Hannon | Title Challenge: WINDSWEPT WAY

April 21, 2023

Hello, everyone, and welcome to Hope Harbor! Book #9 in the series, WINDSWEPT WAY, is about to release – but no worries if you’ve never visited my idyllic little Oregon seaside town. Every book can be read as a standalone. In this story, you’ll meet Ashley Scott, who’s come to Hope Harbor in a leap of faith to bring new life to a historic seaside home. Her visit to the secluded estate gets off to a shaky start, though, thanks to an encounter with a masked, chainsaw wielding man and an unusual reception from the older, reclusive owner. But as she joins forces with wounded warrior Jonathan Gray to give a house that has known too much sadness a happy ending, might they also find one themselves? Warning: Have a few tissues on hand for the oh-so-romantic ending.

W is for Windswept Way. This secluded byway ends in a clifftop setting worthy of Victoria Holt—without the dark undercurrents!

I is for intrigued. How Ashley feels about Jon almost from the get-go—but he’s a hard nut to crack.

N is for never. The attitude of Rose Fitzgerald, the owner of the historic home, when Ashley tries to coax her to reenter the world.

D is for Daisy. A loveable, loyal border collier who keeps Jon company in his solitary life.

S is for sister. Jon has one, and she isn’t shy about trying to spice up his nonexistent social life. He is not receptive.

W is for Warner. A name Rose once had, which she’d rather forget.

E is for Edgecliff. The name of the gorgeous seaside estate surrounded by dramatic cliffs where Rose has lived a sequestered life for many years.

P is for possibilities. There are a ton of these in this story, if only the characters are willing to take a chance.

T is for tacos. It wouldn’t be a Hope Harbor story without Charley Lopez, the taco-making artist and town sage, who always has a few words of wisdom to offer.

W is for woman in white. Is the mysterious spectral figure sometimes spotted at Edgecliff, which has given rise to rumors of hauntings, real?

A is for Allison. One of the surprises Rose has in store for Ashley. And let’s not forget about Lucy Lynn. Hmm. Maybe Rose isn’t quite as alone as she appears…

Y is for yesterday. Something all three main characters have to leave behind if they want to embrace a better tomorrow.

WINDSWEPT WAY by Irene Hannon

Hope Harbor #9

Windswept Way

Buying a haunted house was never in Ashley Scott’s plans, but when an intriguing opportunity drops into her lap after a major setback, she finds herself trekking cross-country to Hope Harbor on the Oregon coast to launch a new life.

Wounded warrior Jonathan Gray isn’t sure what to make of the attractive woman on his reclusive older neighbor’s isolated property, but her presence is none of his business–until she enlists his help with an ambitious project. When Jonathan finds his interest in the new arrival becoming more personal than professional, however, his defenses go up. There’s no room in his life–or his heart–for romance.

Yet, as these three hurting people join forces to restore life, laughter, and love to a historic estate that has known too much sadness, they may also find healing, hope, and happiness for themselves.

Bestselling author Irene Hannon invites you back to Hope Harbor, where hearts heal and love blooms.
