Lynette Eason | A Flight Paramedic Gets Help From a US Marshal to Deal with Her Stalker

July 28, 2023

1–What is the title of your latest release?

COUNTDOWN

2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?

Flight paramedic, Raina Price’s past is about to catch up with her. With US Marshal Vince Covelli’s help, she might survive to have a future with the man she’s falling in love with.

3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place?

It’s book four in the series, so the setting was pretty much already determined.

4–Would you hang out with your protagonist in real life?

Absolutely. Raina would slightly infuriate me, though, because I’d be able to tell she has secrets and I’d want to know what they were.

5–What are three words that describe your protagonist?

Determined, strong, sacrificing

6–What’s something you learned while writing this book?

I learned a lot about professional snowboarding.

7–Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?

As I draft.

8–What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?

Pizza and coca cola.

9–Describe your writing space/office!

A mess! Seriously. But it doesn’t bother me. As long as my laptop fits on the table, I’m good.

10–Who is an author you admire?

Oh goodness, just ONE? I admire so many. But I guess, right now, I’d say Susan May Warren. She’s done so much with her career and seems to have boundless energy to get things done. And I just like her as a person.

11–Is there a book that changed your life?

I’d have to say that Danger in the Shadows by Dee Henderson. Because of that book, I finally realized what I wanted to write. So, I patterned my writing after hers. And here I am. So, yes, I’d say that book changed my life.

12–Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)/Or, for indie authors, when you decided to self-publish.

I was teaching at a special needs school and my phone rang during class on February 16, 2007. Because I recognized the area code, I took the call, left my assistant in charge of the class and ran out into the hall. It was an editor from the Love Inspired Suspense line who said they wanted to buy the book. I was so excited! It was all I could do to finish the teaching day.

13–What’s your favorite genre to read?

Romantic Suspense. Historical is a close second.

14–What’s your favorite movie?

Die hard.

15–What is your favorite season?

Winter

16–How do you like to celebrate your birthday?

With a family dinner.

17–What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?

I recently read Gabrielle Meyer’s book called When The Day Comes. Wow. It was phenomenal and I’m eagerly waiting the next one.

18–What’s your favorite type of cuisine?

Anything that’s not good for me. Ha. But the aforementioned Pizza and Coke.

19–What do you do when you have free time?

Free time? What’s that? Seriously, I don’t have a lot of free time, but I love photography, so if I’m not writing, you can usually find me with my camera taking pictures.

20–What can readers expect from you next?

I’m working on the next series that’s been titled, Lake City Heroes. The first book has been finished and titled – Double Take. I haven’t turned it in yet as I still have some editing to do, but soon, it will land in my editor’s inbox and then it’s on to book 2 in the series.
