Pitch us your newest book in one sentence.

Two years after one of the steamiest weekends of her life, Megan Montgomery is hoping for a second chance and a happily ever after.

What book made you fall in love with the genre(s) you write?

Sandra Brown’s 22 INDIGO PLACE. I could read that book over and over and over and to me it captures everything a contemporary romance should be.

Tell us about your favorite character you’ve ever written.

It’s like picking your favorite child and I always feel guilty when I do this!! But…ONE of my favorite characters is Dylan Anders from ONE MORE PROMISE. Everything about him just felt so incredibly real for me. I’ve been on the fringe of witnessing people dealing with addiction and I wanted Dylan to be real and not a watered down character dealing with the aftermath of it. I loved his vulnerability, his struggles, and finding just how big of a heart he had underneath his gruff and bad-boy exterior. Love him!

What do you do to de-stress when you’re on a writing deadline?

Eat too much! LOL! That’s only part of it, but it’s also a sad reality. My inner junk food addict comes out when I’m on a deadline and she’s a beast! And when that doesn’t help, music really helps – just not when I’m writing. I’ll take anywhere from 20-30 minutes a day with my iPod and simply lock myself in my room and listen to music. It’s usually not anything soothing either. It’s head-banging 80’s rock or pop. Although I do have a weakness for Taylor Swift. 🙂

What’s one thing you want our Boas & Tiaras guests to know about you?

That I am really kind of ridiculous. Truly. I love just being casual and hanging out laughing with friends (or my dog). That’s what soothes me. I’d rather have a night in with the girls than a night out on the town.
