Sarah Colmark:
Co-Founder, Executive Director, Programmer Extraordinaire, and Classical music’s Stealth Bomber! Tickling the ivories while building a Lego fortress with her exuberant little fellows, this highly versatile gal is the whole package!
Sarah has spent her career creating and exploring classical music in profound ways. Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, she began playing the piano at three years old. After earning a Bachelor of Music in piano performance in 2001, she continued her studies in France. In 2006, she utilized her inside knowledge of classical music to embark on a successful broadcasting career. Her vast knowledge of music, and keen interest in what people truly enjoy, coalesce nicely to strongly inform the dynamic sound of the new ClassicalRush!
Sheryl Powers:
Co-Founder, Director of Development, Writer/Producer/Straightener-upper…whatever’s still hangin’ round at the end of the day, she trims, boxes and stores for another day.
Sheryl’s life-long career in DFW radio was launched back in 1985 with KDNT FM in Denton, TX, as an afternoon drive personality, as well as full-time account executive. This led to substantial experience in the classic rock, contemporary Christian, adult contemporary and finally, classical music formats. Sheryl’s unique combination of sales, marketing, on-air, production and market knowledge, allow her to apply a powerful skillset to this awesome music venture of ClassicalRush!
