Elizabeth Rose | Conversations in Character with Stone Nightstalker
Author Guest / July 4, 2024

Book Title:  CHARMED Character Name:   Stone Nightstalker   How would you describe your family or your childhood? I’d have to say it was great at first. Then it became very sad. And challenging.   What was your greatest talent? I’m a tracker. A bounty hunter actually. I hunt down people and things they’ve stolen. I’m also able to see in the dark.   Significant other? I just met a witch on the other side of a portal. Her name is Persimmon and I hope to get to know her better.   Biggest challenge in relationships? Keeping them. Not many women like being with a man who is constantly in danger and at risk of being killed at every turn.   Where do you live? I come from the land of Taelgonoth, but I fell through a portal and ended up in a magical land called Mura.   Do you have any enemies? Taelgonoth has turned very dark lately. I’ve been busy at work. And with my profession, pretty much everyone I am tracking turns out to be my enemy.   How do you feel about the place where you are now? Is there something you are particularly attached to, or…

Book Title: SWEET MEAD FOR LADY MARTINE Character Name: David Stone   How would you describe your family or your childhood? We are just commoners who work hard to earn a living. I grew up with my parents and two sisters. Being the only son, it was a given that I would follow in my father’s footsteps and someday take over the family business.   What was your greatest talent? I have people skills and have always been able to keep order at the inn. Plus, I pack a mean punch. Along with my cousin Dirk, we can handle any ruffian who comes into the tavern causing trouble.   Significant other? Well, I haven’t had a lot of free time to find a significant other since my father passed away and all my family’s problems have fallen into my lap. I will say though, that I have eyes for Lady Martine. However, she is out of my league. Nobles would never be interested in commoners. It isn’t allowed.   Biggest challenge in relationships? I would say being able to attract the right kind of girl. I mean, working in a tavern and also running our inn doesn’t give me much…

Elizabeth Rose | A Secret Garden is Where a Runaway Serf and a Lord Fall in Love One Christmas
Author Guest / December 20, 2023

1–What is the title of your latest release? CHRISTMAS SECRETS – Book 5 of the Secrets of the Heart Series 2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? A secret garden is where a runaway serf and a lord running from himself meet and fall in love one Christmas. 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? The Secrets of the Heart Series all feature a secret garden with a cottage. Since this is book 5 of the series, it was easy to decide it would take place here. 4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life? Well, since this book is medieval, and my heroine is a runaway serf – if I lived back then I would have been noble – so I’d have to answer no. (Smile) 5–What are three words that describe your hero? Caring, stubborn, and extremely-handsome. (Ok, I hyphenated that last one to make it one word.) 6–What’s something you learned while writing this book? Things don’t always turn out the way you think they might, and people are not always what or who you expect them to be. 7–Do you edit as you draft or wait until you…

Elizabeth Rose | Conversations in Character | LOVE LETTERS FOR LADY LARK
Author Guest / July 14, 2023

Book Title: LOVE LETTERS FOR LADY LARK Character Name: Lady Lark MacKeefe   How would you describe your family or your childhood? My mother was English and my father, Scottish. I grew up in Scotland with my father’s clan, the MacKeefes. The MacKeefes have two chieftains: my father and my grandfather. They take turns ruling over our Highland camp and Hermitage Castle on the border. I have an older half-brother, Renard, and two younger siblings, Heather, and Hawke. My father, Storm MacKeefe is a man who is loved and feared at the same time. I happened to be the black sheep of my family.   What was your greatest talent? Making my father angry?   Significant other? I married Dustin Styles. He was the castle’s scribe and also my daughter’s tutor.   Biggest challenge in relationships? Well, I was young and silly when I was seduced by a Frenchman and became pregnant at 16. He never married me, just left. So, I’d have to say not having a husband and raising my daughter when I had her out of wedlock was very challenging. I made a mistake and paid for it dearly with the way others treated me after that….

Author Guest / March 22, 2023

Hi, I am Elizabeth Rose, the author of over 100 books and counting, and I am here today to tell you a little about my new book, the start of my Below the Salt Series. Picking up the Gauntlet features Lady Raven Blake, a strong woman who knows how to wield a sword, and who is not about to be given away as the bride to the winner of the tournament. She has a plan to ensure this doesn’t happen, but it involves the armorer, Jonathon Armstrong who her father has hired to guard her to keep her out of trouble. Love has no bounds, but marriage has rules. A noble must never marry anyone from Below the Salt.   P is for proper – something that Lady Raven is not, since she can fight as good as any man I is for Intrude – Raven thinks Jonathon is intruding since he’s just a commoner and her father has assigned him to stay at her side and guard her – though she doesn’t need guarding C is for Castle Blake – where the tournament will take place K is for Kiss – Something Raven does to Jonathon to blackmail him…

The Character Most Likely – Elizabeth Rose
Author Guest / August 18, 2022

To celebrate Elizabeth Rose’s new book BEWITCHED – the second book in her Portals of Destiny series, we here at Fresh Fiction thought it would be a fun way for readers to get to know her characters better (from her many many fab books) to play a little game we call “The Character Most Likely”. If you’re new to her Portals of Destiny series – It’s a mix of fantasy and historical romance. Elizabeth Rose is free to select her answers from any series. Most likely to hold a grudge longer than anybody else? That would have to be Reed Douglas, my hero from Reckless Highlander, Book 3 of my Legendary Bastards of the Crown. He is a triplet and also the last of the brothers to forgive his father – the king – for wanting them killed as babies, among other things.   Most likely to figure out a way to use an enemy’s strength against him? This, I think would be Medea, my heroine from Bewitched. She is a witch sired from good and evil. Most of the time, she is her worst enemy. Medea was first seen in Lady in the Tower (Rapunzel) from my Tangled Tales…
