Damn it. She hadn’t meant to let that slip. How could she pretend to be her sister, even going so far as to dress like her and wear glasses, and yet not be able to simply hold her tongue? Hannah squared her shoulders and stared across the table. Will Sutherland was so damn sexy, that’s why. He had her so flustered she couldn’t think. All of this was his fault. How could she keep up her disguise when all she could think about was raking her fingers through that hair to see if she could mess it up? Those lips, which were now thinned with frustration, seemed soft. Was he a good kisser? She hadn’t felt much of an attraction toward any man in a long time. Why did this man, of all the ones in her world, have to grab her attention? She’d hoped that pretending to be Hallie would tamp down some of the heat she felt whenever he was near. No such luck and now she’d gone and blown her cover. As if she needed more problems. She’d known switching record labels would be difficult, no matter which one she chose. CHRISTMAS ON PEACH TREE LANE is definitely a book based around holiday traditions. That’s actually the crux of the issue between the hero and shero regarding the annual Tinsel Tour. I love holiday traditions. I think a tradition just gives families and friends a special bond and something a little extra to look forward to. It almost makes those other people in your life feel special to know they share something so valuable with you. Especially in this crazy time, I think if we can continue to hang onto those traditions, that is so important for peoples’ mental wellbeing. In my family, we started something special about ten years ago. We do a Christmas morning breakfast that has blown into an event that everyone loves and talks about all year long. You know how sometimes you would have to try to fit in all the family visits and all the important dinners? But then you would be too full from one family, so you wouldn’t eat at the next house. It all just seemed so rushed and not what you want during a holiday. You want to be able to enjoy your family and friends. That’s where the special memories…

Jules Bennett | 20 Questions: HIDDEN AMBITION
Author Guest / August 4, 2020

1–What’s the name of your latest release?  HIDDEN AMBITION 2–What is it about?  This is a revenge plot with the hero out to get even for the people who hurt his family. The shero gets caught in the middle and he realizes he’s going to have to make a decision between family loyalty and love. 3–What word best describes your heroine?  My shero, Haley, is strong-willed, determined, loyal, and has a soft spot for Chase. She’s a kickass businesswoman and runs the office in a “man’s world” role. 4–What makes your hero irresistible?  Even though he’s out for revenge, you can’t help but fall in love with him. He’s hurt because his family fell apart, so he’s going about his justice in the wrong way. A tough hero with a vulnerability is so sexy to me! 5–Who are the people your main characters turn to when they need help?  Oh, they definitely run to each other for help, but they don’t realize how many lies they’ve gotten wrapped up in so they are definitely in this ordeal together. 6–What do you love about the setting of your book?  This is set in New York and the surrounding areas. I love…
