Natalie Walters | Super Secret Spies
Author Guest / April 24, 2023

1–What is the title of your latest release? BLIND TRUST 2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? What do illegal arms trafficking, counterfeit money, the U.S Government, and bombs have in common? According to EOD expert Nicolás Garcia…they’re safer than working with Lyla Fox. 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? Washington D.C. epitomizes intrigue which made locating my SNAP Agency there perfect. You really never know who you’re walking next to, sitting by on the Metro, or eating dinner near – spies, secret service, politico conspirators. 4–Would you hang out with your protagonist in real life? Definitely. Her spunkiness and spontaneity would make every minute with her an adventure. 5–What are three words that describe your protagonist? Impulsive, generous, loyal. 6–What’s something you learned while writing this book? That tough characters are hard to write. LOL. But seriously. These two characters throughout the series have guarded themselves and trying to break that wall down was way more difficult than I imagined. 7–Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done? I try not to edit as I draft but it inevitably happens. If I’m stuck sometimes it helps to…

Natalie Walters | 20 Questions: FATAL CODE
Author Guest / May 2, 2022

1–What is the title of your latest release? FATAL CODE 2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? In the global race for space domination, a cryptologist must overcome his greatest mistake to help the granddaughter of a nuclear physicist decipher the clues to a top-secret nuclear project before it falls into the hands of America’s enemies. 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? Washington D.C. is where my SNAP Agency is located because it’s the epicenter of all things political intrigue and suspense. 4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life? I would because she’s a lot of fun but honestly, she’s an aerospace engineer so I’d probably be clueless about anything she’s discussing and would just have to smile and nod. A lot. 5–What are three words that describe your hero? Hawaiian. Funny. Genuine. 6–What’s something you learned while writing this book? So many things. Lots of space defense information; historical information surrounding the top-secret research at Los Alamos National Laboratory—including the inclusion of Black scientists like nuclear scientist George Johnson, after the war; and that measuring the weight of a wave is more math than I ever want to do…

Natalie Walters | Author-Reader Match: LIGHTS OUT
Author Guest / November 5, 2021

Instead of trying to find your perfect match in a dating app, we bring you the “Author-Reader Match” where we introduce you to authors you may fall in love with. It’s our great pleasure to present Natalie Walters! Writes: I write what I love to read. Intriguing suspense centered around intricate plots; memorable characters who make me laugh with them, love them, and root for them; and a storyline that speaks internal truths that stick with me long after the last page. Oh, and I unapologetically exploit my dear friends whose careers in the military, three-letter agencies, and law enforcement help me bring a level of authenticity to my stories! Proof of that exploitation is evident in my newest novel, LIGHTS OUT. When an Egyptian spy goes missing in America, CIA officer Elinor Mitchell is the only one to blame. In a race against an impending terror threat, Elinor must work with the last person she expected, Jack Hudson. Not only is he her ex-boyfriend, the man she betrayed, but also the team leader for the Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency—a private contract agency that keeps Americans obliviously unaware of the continuous threats against them and their country. Without Jack…

Welcome to Fresh Fiction, Natalie! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your new book, DEADLY DECEIT?  Hi! I’m an Army wife, married to my GIJOE for 23 years. We have three kids who are all officially adults now and spreading their wings, which this mama-heart still finds hard to handle. We are currently stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii, which is my husband’s home state and the first time in our 25 years in the Army where we’ve lived in the same state as family. Deadly Deceit brings readers back to Walton, Georgia and into the lives of Deputy Ryan Frost and reporter Vivian DeMarco. A year has passed and neither Vivian nor Ryan are sure they are where they’re supposed to be. Ryan knows Vivian is as tenacious as they come but he can’t let her risk her life for a headline. Working together, Ryan and Vivian must overcome their pasts if they want to stop The Watcher and give themselves a chance at a future. The only reason journalist Vivian…
