Instead of trying to find your perfect match in a dating app, we bring you the “Author-Reader Match” where we introduce you to authors you may fall in love with. It’s our great pleasure to present Virginie Marconato! Writes: Medieval Romance, focusing on the period from the 11th to the 15th century. SEDUCING THE WARRIOR is the final book in my Noble Norsemen series. My next will be about Welsh Rebels. I also write spicier novels and even spicier Regency novellas under the name Judith Falcon. Feel free to check them out of a scorching read. About: I’m a mum of two. I’m French and married to a Welshman. What better to indulge in my love for medieval castles and find inspiration on the very places my stories take place? The place is teeming with them. I love reading, with an obvious preference for romance of all genres, cooking (and eating!) travelling, practicing calligraphy, and anything to do with horses. What I’m looking for in my ideal reader match: My ideal reader would be someone like me, fascinated by all things Middle-Ages or even a Regency reader in search for something different. They will prefer cinnamon roll…
“So. Wolf thinks I need to stitch your wound,” Ingrid said, looking nervous at the prospect. “Yes. You probably do,” he agreed grimly. Though Magnus’ intervention had stopped the cut from being fatal, it was both too long and too deep to be left alone. “Could I have a drink first?” There was no use pretending this wouldn’t be an ordeal. He had never needed as much as a single stitch in his life and he dreaded the prospect. “Of course.” She handed him a cup full of the excellent ale he’d enjoyed during his stay under her roof. Was it only yesterday morning he’d left? It seemed more like two years. “I’ll get everything I need.” When she came back, she had a basin of water and a few pieces of cloth in her hands. “I need to wash the blood off first, so I can see what I’m doing,” she explained almost apologetically. “Will you be able to remove your shirt?” The mere idea of having to sit up sent his guts into a tangle of knots. “Perhaps I could just lift it?” he said hopefully. To his relief, she agreed. “It should be enough, as the cut…
1–What is the title of your latest release? WOOING THE DEVIL. It is book 3 in the Noble Norsemen series. 2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? When two free spirits meet one wild night, sparks fly. But Rune and Eowyn will soon get to see that what is between them could be much more than a fling. 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? It takes place in the same village as the other books in the series. I have no idea why I thought about doing a Viking series, other than I write medieval romance and I like to vary periods a bit. I am currently writing book 5 and I feel as if I live in that village myself! 4–Would you hang out with your protagonist in real life? Err……. YES! But my poor heroine Eowyn might not be happy about that. If I get hang out with Rune, I would definitely do all I can to win him over. He’s the stuff of dreams, but it’s not surprising he should appeal to me as I created him… 5–What are three words that describe your protagonist? Cheeky, sensual, protective. 6–What’s something…
Book Title: SOOTHING THE BEAST Character Name: Sigurd. Interviewed at the end of the book, the second in the Noble Norsemen series How would you describe your family or your childhood? Hard. I was orphaned at a very young age, so anything related to childhood is painful for me to recall. I was nicknamed “Beast” by the boys in the village and the name didn’t help me make new acquaintances, as you can imagine. What was your greatest talent? I don’t know that it is a talent, but I managed to survive in the wild on my own despite my young age. I hunted for food, kept myself warm and fed, weathered the other boys’ taunts. I like to think resilience is one of my strengths. Other than that, I am the best swimmer I know. And of course, I’ve been told I am rather skilled in bed… (winks) But that’s probably not what you meant. Significant other? Frigyth, a Saxon woman whom I call Birdie. The most entrancing woman in the world. I fell for her at first sight, and she then ensnared me further with her infuriating questions, her talent for making delicious food and…
