NYTimes front page with Jason

This may be the one and only time our name are ever mentioned in a New York Times article ! Now isn’t this just too cool? And it’s for such a great cause: helping our vets. The three of us couldn’t be prouder. Plus, Laura Holson, the reporter who wrote the piece, was VERY kind in putting up the info on the charity. She didn’t have to do that—but bless her, too.

Read down to the part about the making of a cover and find Chris Keniston and myself, Lindsay McKenna — we worked jointly on the cover. Susan Stoker, in the meantime, was on an ocean cruise, unavailable, so the task fell to us to create it without her valuable input. We chose Jason Baca as our model. Tammy Seidick of TammySeidickDesigns.com, took our direction and did a fabulous job. We made a good team. Chris should be lauded for making the cover what it looks like in the final presentation — I just put in ideas, suggestions here and there ;-). We almost forgot to put the dog tags on Jason—that was my biggest add to the cover, haha.

SBAS covers

We all think it’s a great cover!

Fingers crossed the publicity gets more money into the service dog program for disabled veterans ! Remember for only 99 cents to tell all your friends! All proceeds from the sale of Saved By A SEAL go to americasvetdogs.org, our charity that will receive all that it makes so that some deserving vet will get one of these wonderfully trained dogs to help her or him in their daily life.

With Romance Novels Booming, Beefcake Sells, but It Doesn’t Pay

This corner of the book world is red hot and among the most innovative, with e-books and apps, and it needs a steady stream of fresh-faced cover models.

By LAURA M. HOLSON

In early January, 2016, Lindsay McKenna, Chris Keniston and Susan Stoker embarked on a journey with SAVED BY A SEAL, an 3-book “first in series” anthology with the focus of giving all proceeds earned to america’s vetdog.org. We wanted to give back to our military vets. We each took a “first-in-series” book and donated it to our anthology. These all romantic suspense. It is only 99 cents and our whole focus was doing this for this vet charity. On 2.6.16, we put the anthology up on all major platforms except Google.
