Author Guest , Interviews / February 28, 2018

Here’s a Q&A with Xavier Stirling, the (fictional) hero in the steamy romantic suspense book written by Miranda P. Charles called XAVIER: THE CONTRACT (Indie Rebels, Book 1). Interviewer: Hello, Xavier. Glad to have you at MPC Character Interviews. Xavier: Thank you. Happy to be here. Interviewer: So, author Miranda P. Charles wrote a book about you and your romance with Eve Marrin. I have to say, you and Eve have been through some very tough times. Xavier: Well, Miranda P. Charles did base the love story on me and Eve. But she wrote the other bits for pure entertainment. Interviewer: What do you mean? Are you saying some of details in the book aren’t true? Xavier: Yes. For example, in the book, I’m a crime-fighting Indie Rebel. I’m not an Indie Rebel. I’ve never even met an Indie Rebel in my life. Interviewer: I see. Well, according to the book, being an Indie Rebel has to be a well-kept secret because you guys are on the hit list of several criminal syndicates. Exclusive Excerpt: She crossed her legs. “So how else do you intend to take care of me today?” she asked coquettishly. She was trying to be sexy, but she was so touched that she had to battle to stop her eyes from misting. “Are you really my boyfriend? My real boyfriend.” “Your one and only,” Derek said with a wink before going back to his task of fixing them lunch. “What if I want to stay inside all weekend?” “No problem. We have enough food to last us for days. I made sure.” “So you were expecting me to want to stay in for the whole weekend.” “A man can hope,” Derek said with a grin. She got off the stool and walked to his side of the island. “You better let me help you, then, so we can start lunch earlier.” Derek…

Here’s a Peek into the THE UNREAL BOYFRIEND

Excerpt “You okay?” Derek asked. She laughed to cover up her embarrassment. “See? This is exactly why I hate being in these inflatable things.” “At least I’m not jumping all around you like some mean boys did when you were twelve years old,” Derek teased. “I guess. And at least you’re not chanting ‘we saw your pink panties’,” she said dryly. Derek helped her up, not giving an indication if he’d had an eyeful of her… well… pink undies. Frankly, she wouldn’t have minded if he had. In fact, she’d love it if Derek saw her naked—as long as he was naked with her in a room with a bed. Ugh, how bad did she still have it? THE UNREAL BOYFRIEND by Miranda P. Charles Captured by Love How can Derek be with the woman he loves when he has to stay with the one he doesn’t?
