Heroine, Melody Doyle is tired of traipsing around following her beloved father from one railroad job to another. She wants to settle in Cheyenne where’s she’s made good friends. Her father is willing to agree to this, but only if she finds a husband first. What’s a girl to do? 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? It’s part of a series set in Cheyenne, Wyoming (Dakota Territory in my time period which is 1868) Cheyenne is so full of history and it’s really an amazing place to visit. I’d been there many times and thought it was about time to share their story. 4–Would you hang out with your protagonist in real life? Absolutely I would hang out with Melody Doyle. She’s so down-to-earth, not at all pretentious and speaks her mind. She loves God completely and has an amazing relationship with her earthly father. She’s quite a special lady. 5–What are three words that describe your protagonist? Melody is confident, enthusiastic, and sensible. 6–What’s something you…

1–What is the title of your latest release? KNOWING YOU 2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? At the 1909 Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in Seattle, two old friends are brought together after ten years to solve a mystery surrounding antique Japanese armor only to realize that the feelings they have for each other are much more than that of friends. However, big obstacles stand in their way, obstacles that only God has the power to overcome. 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? I learned about the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in Seattle and thought it would make an amazing setting for a 3-book series.  Knowing You is the third book in that series. 4–Would you hang out with your protagonist in real life? I would totally hang out with May Parker. She’s half Japanese and doesn’t know a lot about her past because her Japanese mother refuses to talk about it. She longs to know about her ancestry, however. She’s also an artist and woman of Christian faith. I think we’d have a great time together exploring Japanese history. 5–What are three words that describe your protagonist? Creative, loving, and faithful 6–What’s something you learned while…

Author Guest / July 5, 2022

1–What is the title of your latest release? BEYOND THE DESERT SANDS by Tracie Peterson 2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? It’s impossible to have a future romance when the past is holding the heart captive. 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? I had previously studied several locations in New Mexico and saw that this area would have all the important geological necessities, as well as be placed along the Santa Fe railroad. There were a lot of little towns in this area of New Mexico that are now long gone, but still interesting for what they offered. 4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life? Probably not at the start. She’s spoiled and opinionated and thinks she’s got all the answers. 5–What are three words that describe your hero? Loyal, determined, and Godly. 6–What’s something you learned while writing this book? I always learn something, whether it’s some tidbit about how banking in a silver mine company town often enslaved people to a point they could never hope to leave. Or a lesson develops where God is trying to show me something regarding my own faith. 7–Do you edit…
