Instead of trying to find your perfect match in a dating app, we bring you the “Author-Reader Match” where we introduce you to authors you may fall in love with. It’s our great pleasure to present Tracie Peterson!

Writes:

Historical Christian romance with action and adventure packed inside. Stories are generally set between the post-Civil War in America and the turn of the 20th century.

About:

Tracie Peterson is often called the Queen of Historical Christian Romance with over 130 titles to her name. She enjoys her mountain home in Montana, family and friends and her collie and two cats. Writing for her is a ministry to offer Biblical encouragement to readers, as well as education and entertainment. She loves researching the historical details of each story and sharing interesting tidbits from days gone by in each of her stories.

What I’m looking for in my ideal reader match:

My readers are going to enjoy stories of romance set against the backdrop of historical time periods and events. They’re going to be open to Biblical encouragement without preachy overtones, and characters who are flawed, but striving to become a better version of themselves. Most of all, my ideal reader is going to appreciate a satisfying ending where the hero and heroine start a new life together that gives the hope of “happily-ever-after” in their physical, emotional and spiritual lives.

What to expect if we’re compatible:

  • In UNDER THE STARRY SKIES readers can except:
  • Romance that never stops
  • Spiritual encouragement meant to uplift and leave the reader with a smile
  • Characters who are able to entertain without cursing or graphic sexual scenes
  • Stories that are well-researched and written to give insight to the past as well as contrast with contemporary issues
  • Happily-ever-after endings that leave the reader with a sigh of contentment

UNDER THE STARRY SKIES by Tracie Peterson

Under the Starry Skies

Will their faith prove to be stronger than their fear?

Sensible and independent, Cassie Barton never anticipated being on her own at thirty-two. But after the death of her father and the marriage of her sister, she’s found joy in her work as a seamstress. When a minor accident leaves her unable to sew, she decides to use her time to compile a book of stories about the men working on the Santa Fe Railroad. But worry begins to grow in San Marcial as Mexican revolutionaries set out to destroy the railroad–and put many lives in danger.

With Europe at war and his longtime friend Cassie injured, railroad worker Brandon DuBarko is burdened by his troubles. He promised Cassie’s father he would watch over her, but as their comfortable friendship slowly transforms into something deeper, he feels trapped by a secret from his youth. When a vengeful man reappears in Brandon’s life, intent on causing conflict, Brandon must face his past before he can move forward.

As the danger intensifies, Cassie and Brandon must rely on God to overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of a brighter future.
