Bethany Maines | 20 Questions: A DEEPER BLUE
Author Guest / April 7, 2022

1–What is the title of your latest release? A DEEPER BLUE, book 2 of the 3 Colors Trilogy (but it does read well as a stand-alone) 2–What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book? Witch Azure Lucas and Rafe DeSandre (alpha-hole, biker, and exiled lone wolf) hit the road and face down a warlock motorcycle game in adventure that puts them on a collision course with destiny. 3–How did you decide where your book was going to take place? In book 1, A Little Red, I had already established that Rafe’s pack was from Oregon and since I live in Washington, it wasn’t a stretch to put them on a road trip to the Pacific Northwest. 4–Would you hang out with your heroine in real life? Oh, absolutely!  Given that Azure has the second sight and can see the future, she might be the most annoying friend ever since her “I told you so” would be literal. But on the other hand, she’s a ride or die kind of friend who would always show up for her friends.  And of course, if we could go to the nearest casino, that gift might come in handy. 5–What are three words that…

Wren Michaels Interview – Building a New Paranormal Romance Series
Author Guest , Interviews / March 31, 2022

Your book, THUNDERSTRUCK, is the first book in your new “Thunderbird Brotherhood” series. Do you know how many books you plan on writing for the series?   At this point, there’s going to be four more books for the Thunderbirds, but I’m hoping to do spinoff books for some of the wolves I’ll be introducing in future books, as well as some of the witches which get introduced in book two.   Or are you just planning to see how it goes? Well, that’s always a possibility. In my case, what I plot out and what actually transpires are usually very different. It’s like fighting with an alternate personality, only it’s the characters in your head demanding things of you. So who knows. LOL   Will each book feature a different couple? At this point, yes. But I could see maybe writing another one with Reseda and Kane, which you’ll understand why after reading book two.   How would you describe the dynamic between Reseda and Kane? They’re very push and pull. They feed off each other, taking and giving without even knowing it. They have a lot of banter which was so much fun to write because of who…

Ann Aguirre Interview – Talking Boss Witches, Thrillers, and Intergalactic Badasses
Author Guest , Interviews / March 10, 2022

Your book BOSS WITCH comes out April 5th. It’s described as an “opposites attract paranormal romcom”. What attracts you to stories with characters who are opposites getting together? Opposites are like magnets with a positive and negative charge. They’re drawn together irresistibly, but the challenge is whether the characters can make it work long-term. And that’s where the fascination comes into play. Two people with wildly different viewpoints… the idea that they can form a lasting partnership and turn those variations into a complementary relationship—where one supplies what the other lacks? It’s the ultimate form of optimism and makes us feel brighter about real life opposition.   How would you describe Gavin in BOSS WITCH? What makes a good hero to you? Gavin is lonely and tormented. He hates his job, and he’s been isolated from the world by an emotionally abusive parent. What he wants more than anything is a place to belong. As for what makes a good hero, as long as he meets his fictional partner’s needs, that definition can apply to any type of character.   Your thriller THE THIRD MRS. DURST sounds intriguing. As an author, is it a much different process writing a thriller…

Jenika Snow Interview – Mafiosos, Lycans, and Forbidden Romance
Author Guest / March 3, 2022

First of all, let me just say that I love your book covers – especially the one for RECKLESS HEIR. Do you use the same designer/company for each of your books? I have a couple designers I use regularly. The covers for the Underworld Kings series are all by the same designer, and she’s incredible! Your new book, RECKLESS HEIR – the first in your Underworld Kings – is described as an “arranged marriage mafia romance”. I admit that, while I enjoy arranged marriage romances, I was slower to see the appeal of mafia-themed romances. Reading one or two by the author MINK changed my mind. What is it about these kinds of characters and stories that inspire you, and you find compelling as an author? I love the dangerous kind of love that mafia romances bring. With an arranged marriage you get the forbidden aspect. Can you fall in love? Will you be happy being forced to marry someone? Then you have the “bad guy”, who does questionably moral things, but he can still be soft and gentle for the right woman. Describe for me the dynamic between the hero and heroine in RECKLESS HEIR. I love how the…
