Jus Accardo’s Top 8 Favorite Science Fiction shows
Author Guest / November 3, 2016

I’ve loved the science fiction genre since I was a kid. So many exciting possibilities. Alternate realities, biopunk, aliens—I want to devour it all. Today I’m here to share a list of my top 8 favorite science fiction shows (in no particular order). The Bionic Woman – This was my very first introduction to the science fiction genre and remains my number 1 favorite. When I was a kid, my mom loved this show. I grew up watching the reruns. In fact, I was so enthralled by it, I was even Jamie Summers two Halloweens in a row (not that anyone knew who that was, lol) Futurama – Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m a sucker for animation. I live for cartoons. When Futurama came along? Sci-fi and a cartoon? Um, yes please! I know a lot of people weren’t thrilled with the later stories, but I personally loved how they ended Fry and Leela’s story. The Flash – I’m loving how the story is progressing on the Flash. I still need to play catch-up on this season, but I can’t wait to see what they do next! Dollhouse – Joss Whedon can pretty much do no…

Susan Stephens | A New Polo Series begins…
Author Guest / November 2, 2016

I’m so thrilled to be here. Thank you for inviting me! I’ve just seen my 51st book for Harlequin Presents hit the shelves, and have been answering a lot of questions. What’s the best thing about writing romance, for example? The readers, of course! Meeting people across the world is a bonus I never imagined when I signed my first contract and the Internet has brought us all closer together. When I attended RWA San Diego this year the first person to ask me to sign a book said it was about time I wrote more polo books like my Acosta series. I just love her for that. I love my polo players and I love my readers, so I came home and started writing straight away. A new series is born! My brand new Blood and Thunder series is a collection of stand-alone, no-holds-barred romance stories, set in the tough, unforgiving world of top-class polo—billionaire cowboys, as I always think of them. There’s plenty of passion and steamy action, as well as fiery, stand-up heroines to deal with those arrogant men. Here’s the first novel in the series—available for purchase November 8th. Up for pre-order now! Isn’t the cover…

Amy Sandas | An Excerpt from THE UNTOUCHABLE EARL
Author Guest / November 2, 2016

“Drink it,” he said again, more sternly. Lily still did not move. As if understanding the reason for her resistance, he lifted the glass and took a drink before offering the water to her again. This time she took it in a tenuous grip. Something about knowing his mouth had touched the rim of the same glass made her belly tremble, but the clean water was heavenly on her parched tongue and slipped gracefully down her throat. She took a long drink and then another before lowering the glass. She thought she heard him give a sound of approval before he turned and claimed a seat in one of the chairs. Her courage strengthened, Lily lifted her chin to look at him only a few feet away and swallowed hard past the knot of doubt lodged in her throat. Dressed in elegant evening wear, he sat with his back stiff and straight despite the plush cushion of the chair. His knees were spread and his feet braced squarely on the floor. His hands, with his long masculine fingers, splayed on the surface of strong thighs. He was the epitome of masculine sophistication and mystery. Dark, enigmatic, handsome, and intense. Her…

Sienna Snow | Billionaire: tech mogul, well-regarded, and a Woman!
Author Guest / November 1, 2016

A smart, sexy, and well-regarded billionaire is a rare being. Even more so, when that billionaire is—wait for it—a female! A tech mogul, who founded a billion-dollar technology empire and retained the respect of her peers as well as all who work for her. In my debut novel, RULE BREAKER, that is exactly what you get. Arya Rey is a brilliant software developer, whose dedication and attention to detail give her the ability to control every aspect of her technology domain. She is a badass heroine, always in control. With one exception, when she’s behind closed doors and in the presence of her dominate ex-lover Maxwell Dane. He is the only man with the ability to call to a desire no one dare know about: the need for submission, the need for domination. In Max’s arms, Arya can relinquish all power and gain the freedom she craves. Max wants one thing, to have the woman he loves back in his life, not only as his submissive but also as his equal, his wife. Nevertheless, she refuses, and so if domination is what she wants, domination is what he’ll give her. Maybe one day, she’ll recognize that what they share is…

Kasey Lane | Top 10 Opposites Attract Films of all time!
Author Guest / November 1, 2016

In my new Rock ’n’ Ink series the primary theme of opposites attracting is played out against a backgound of the Portland music scene. But the stories, at their core, are about characters from different backgrounds and social groups — opposing archetypes — finding themselves attracted to one another and eventually falling in love. In my debut BEAUTIFUL CRAZY a very alpha business mogul goes toe-to-toe with a free spirited rockabilly rebel. Not only are they both shocked at meeting their match, but they both learn a lesson on not judging a book by the cover. Disclaimer: this is not the case for BEAUTIFUL CRAZY as the gorgeous cover for my book is a spot on representation of the story. I think most romance fans will agree that Jane Austen’s PRIDE AND PREJUDICE holds a special place in our hearts for a number of reasons. For me it’s the opposing archetypes trying to stay true to themselves and yet, despite their own personal history and the rules of the society they live in, they’re driven to love the things they intitial disliked about each other. I’ve thrown together a top 10 list of some of my favorite movies that explore…

An Exclusive Interview with Jackson St. James from WORTH THE RISK
Author Guest / November 1, 2016

Welcome, readers! We’re here to day with Jackson St. James, to find out a little bit about his recent travels and new love interest. For those unfamiliar with him, Jackson is the middle child of the St. James family, sandwiched between his older brother, David, and his baby sister, Cat. He’s been on the sidelines for each of their love affairs, and is now at the start of his own. Jackson, before we get around to hearing about your love interest, please briefly tell us what took you to Vermont. My life took a bunch of wrong turns after I lost some things that can’t be replaced. I thought I was handling everything just fine, but my brother and sister staged an intervention at the end of the summer. I hit the pause button on my life and came to Vermont for several weeks to prove I can stay sober, and to rethink my priorities. Thanks for being so candid. We wish you well. Why’d you pick Vermont instead of a rehab program? I don’t need rehab. Give me Mother Nature and a little counseling and I can do the heavy lifting myself. Like I told David and Cat, I’m…
