Robin Bielman | 20 Questions: THE WEDDING CRASHER AND THE COWBOY
Author Guest / October 29, 2021

1–What is the title of your latest release? THE WEDDING CRASHER AND THE COWBOY 2–What is it about? It’s about an ER doctor who crashes a wedding to help a friend and comes face to face with the last man she ever wanted to see again. 3–What do you love about the setting of your book?  I love that it’s set in a small town where everyone knows everyone, it’s hard to keep anything a secret, and there are shops like Baked on Main where you can get the best glazed doughnut ever. 🙂 4–How did your heroine surprise you?  Kennedy turned out to be more adventurous than I thought she’d be. She’s a city girl who likes to wear high heels when not in the ER but she took to the ranch with relative ease and accepted the challenges Maverick threw at her with confidence. 5–Why will readers love your hero?  Besides Maverick’s blue eyes and dimples, he’s loyal, attentive, earnest, loves his family, and talks to his horse. 6–What was one of your biggest challenges while writing this book (spoiler-free, of course!)?  This is my first enemies to lovers romance and I wanted to be sure that transitioning…

Lori Wilde | Exclusive Excerpt: SECOND CHANCE CHRISTMAS
Author Guest / October 29, 2021

Jana lay in the twin bed listening to the sound of Gabriel’s soft breathing and thinking about Joel sleeping across the hall. She was exhausted to the bone, but the events of the day kept circling her head. Mentally, she walked through the evening wondering how, in six short hours, she’d become a temporary surrogate mom for a baby abandoned over the Christmas holidays. Thinking about that stirred memories of another abandoned baby. Another mournful Christmas. Except this time, she wasn’t alone. Joel was on her side. She smiled into the darkness. Joel was right there with her all the way. He was a solid, dependable guy. Someone she could trust. She thought about how he’d swooped in and taken charge right when she needed him most. Packing her clothes. Insisting she and the baby come stay at his place. This alpha-male image was appealing if somewhat uncomfortable for her. She’d never seen him so commanding, and it stirred butterflies in her belly. Big time. What if, a voice whispered in the back of her head, what if she and Joel . . . Good grief! He didn’t even know that Ursula was running around on him. And even if…

Verity Lowell | Author-Reader Match: MEET ME IN MADRID
Author Guest / October 26, 2021

Instead of trying to find your perfect match in a dating app, we bring you the “Author-Reader Match” where we introduce you to authors as a reader you may fall in love with. It’s our great pleasure to present Verity Lowell! Writes: I write steamy romances about ambitious and creative women-falling-for-women. I think of it as queer of color romance but, like the world, my stories have all sorts of ages and stages and different kinds of people. I love to travel and I love good food and I’m always interested in giving the reader a vivid sense of place—if you’re not into evocative description, I may not be your gal. My debut romance, MEET ME IN MADRID is a second-chance entrée with a healthy side of age-gap and plenty of sweet, long-distance relationship angst for dessert. When a blizzard grounds her in Madrid, Charlotte, a museum courier stuck in a job she hates in Connecticut, is unexpectedly reunited with her super in-charge, grad school crush, Adrianna, who offers her a place to “sleep.” Both characters are women of color and part of what brings them together is their shared experience of being marginalized in the academy; the other thing…

Jo Ann Sky | Author-Reader Match: NO PLAYER REQUIRED
Author Guest / October 19, 2021

Instead of trying to find your perfect match in a dating app, we bring you the “Author-Reader Match” where we introduce you to authors you may fall in love with. It’s our great pleasure to present Jo Ann Sky! Writes: I write contemporary romance that are both sweet and sexy, with a good dose of family and strong friendships. My heroines are strong and my heroes love them for it. NO PLAYER REQUIRED is the 3rd book in my Biggest Little Love Story series, which takes place in and around Reno (the “biggest little city in the world”).  My heroine, Destiny Morson, has just started a non-profit when her partner takes off with all of their community-raised funds. She has no time for fun (or love). Rafael “Rafa” Salord is in town to check on his father’s newly-acquired casino, a task he feels is more punishment than pleasure. Will these opposites attract? Rafa’s determined to remain a playboy, but all bets are off when he crosses paths with Destiny. About: I live in Reno, Nevada, with my husband and three kids. I love dogs, in particular older rescue dogs. They are the most overlooked, under-appreciated gifts of goodness. In fact, I’ve…

Betsy St. Amant | Title Challenge: TACOS FOR TWO
Author Guest / October 15, 2021

Tacos. Enough said, am I right? Attraction. This story is unique in that the characters are falling for each other both on AND off screen! Cilantro. Love it or hate it? Jude can’t get enough cilantro (like a true hero) while Rory wishes she could remove it permanently from Planet Earth. Whichever side of this battle you’re on, you’ll appreciate the war. Online romance. Think You’ve Got Mail, with a modern dating app twist. ::heart eyes:: Subterfuge. Sometimes secrets are meant to protect. Other times, they’re meant to harm. This novel offers plenty of both, not only between the hero and heroine, but from both the hero and heroine’s families as well… *  Friendship. Grady is one of my favorite characters in this novel – he serves as a friend/big brother figure to Rory, and I adore his personality! Everyone needs a Grady in their life. Origami. This unique paper-folding art plays a significant role in the story. (I personally do good to fold my dinner napkin into a square, but I digress) Running. Rory and Jude both jog as a personal stress reliever, and end up having an impromptu race at one point in the story that turns into…
